Concussion Testing for all Prep Boys
St John’s Prep will be conducting baseline concussion testing on Monday 16th January and Thursday 19th January. The purpose of the test is to identify each boy’s normal brain pattern, so that in the event of a head injury, an accurate diagnosis can be made. Head injuries can occur while participating in all manner of activities and are not limited to Rugby. It is therefore recommended that each boy complete the test.
The accompanying attachment contains more information on the testing process: Schools Concussion Programme 2012 [PDF]
Please note that the cost of the test is R300 and will be charged to your account. If you do not wish your son to be tested, please contact Mrs Powell at (011) 645 3100, or on email: powell at stjohnscollege.co.za.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any further queries.
Kind regards
Grant Harrison
